JMD is currently preparing preliminary and final design plans for the rehabilitation of Telegraph Road, between Atlantic Boulevard and the Rio Hondo Channel (approximately 3 miles) in the City of Commerce. Rehabilitation improvements include street reconstruction and resurfacing. In addition, the project includes surface improvements at the Los Nietos Subdivision, a Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR) grade crossing, towards the east end of the project. JMD is responsible for developing roadway, grade crossing, signing and striping and traffic control plans. Close coordination with Metro (funding), Caltrans, UPRR and the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) is an important element of the project.
