JMD develops planning studies for a host of transportation and land development projects. Planning studies for transportation projects include the development of project study reports and project reports related to highway projects involving State agencies such as Caltrans. JMD professionals are very familiar with Caltrans project development procedures, standards and requirements for State highways.
In addition, JMD prepares feasibility studies for a variety of projects including roadway and rail corridor projects as well as rail/highway grade separations, grade crossing safety and quiet zone projects requiring careful coordination with multiple stakeholders and sensitive agencies, communities and railroads.
JMD staff is experienced in the development of traffic studies for site development and transportation projects. JMD staff has prepared traffic impact studies for land development projects including commercial, residential, school and large resort projects. These studies include warrant analysis as well as traffic impact, access, circulation and parking studies.
